联合国村简介

联合国村位于地球村一楼，在联合国村东西南北墙的主体设计方面采纳了联合国总部大楼的装饰理念：南墙的金色联合国徽记，北墙的巨幅壁画，历届联合国秘书长的头像以及悬挂在屋顶的国旗彰显了联合国的威严与庄重。

为了增显联合国村的文化内涵，东墙的书架上摆满了有关联合国的文献与书籍，展柜中展示了总部大楼及世纪宝鼎的模型等等。南墙的金色联合国徽设计为了突出体现联合国总部唯一挂有联合国徽章的联合国大会厅。墙脚树立的五面联合国常任理事国国旗以及一面联合国国旗，与前方的演讲台相辉映，营造了外交官发言时的庄严气氛。西墙设计是模仿总部大会厅的过道陈列，墙上悬挂着历届秘书长画像。北墙壁画与安全理事会会议厅的壁画相同，画中的长生鸟等图像象征着未来世界将更加美好。屋顶悬挂的万国旗代表目前联合国的193个成员国。馆中央的圆桌代表了联合国圆桌会议，也使联合国村的实用功能更强。

联合国村的设计体现了地球村的教学功能、实践功能以及展览功能，在设计上也融入了联合国的突出特色。

联合国村作为校内语言文化实践教学基地，面向全校开展联合国主题活动，如10月24日联合国成立纪念活动，国际文化艺术节期间的联合国展览，定期播放联合国记录片以及模拟联合国会议活动等等，从而使学生更加深刻地了解联合国的历史和文化。

A Brief Introduction of UN Village

The UN Village lies on the first floor of Global Villag. It adopts the decorating concept of the UN Headquarters Building. The design is based on the majestic magnificence of the UN, which is seen everywhere from the golden UN emblem on the south wall to the giant fresco on the north, to the eight UN Secretaries photos to all the member countries' flags hanging on the ceiling.

In order to add cultural connotation to UN village, UN documents and books are exhibited on the bookshelves in the east wall alongside the model of UN headquarters building and the Century Baoding in the display case. The design of the golden UN emblem on the south wall is to give prominence to the UN General Assembly Hall, the only hall with the UN emblem. The flags of the five permanent members of the UN and one UN flag built a diplomatic atmosphere together with the speaker’s podium located in front of the flags. The design of passageways in the UN Headquarters is adopted on the west wall, with the photos of the eight UN Secretary Generals hanging. The mural on the north wall is the same as the one at the UNSC Chamber. The phoenix in the painting is a symbol of a better world in the future. The flags hanging on the roof stand for 193 current Member States of the UN. The round table in the center represents the Round-Table Conference by the UN, which makes the UN village a practical function stronger.

The design of the UN village reflects the functions of teaching, practice and displays the prominent UN features. The UN Village will be used as a practice base, and for theme activities related to UN for all the students. For instance, the UN anniversary activity on the 24th of October, the UN exhibition during International Cultural Festival, the UN documentaries at due time and Model United Nations Conferences. Students will learn more about UN's culture through these series of activities.
