A Brief Introduction to China Village

China Village is the largest one of octagon, with 400 square meters on the first floor. Its design is to demonstrate Chinese 5000-year-long civilization of her development, enabling visitors bathed in China ’s long history and great culture through objects and photographs.

Entering China Village, from the left to the right, you can find there are eight large objects and photographs including a model of four-foot bronze tripod and a bust of Confucius, in addition to the multimedia system which can play the audiovisual materials about China . Visitors can enjoy, as if they were on the scene, the charm of the Kanji culture, geographical scenery, traditional Chinese medicine, science-technologic achievements, etiquette customs, national clothes, literary classics, painting and calligraphy, food culture, drama classics, music and dance, folk art. Further more,they can have a good understanding of the achievements and developments of Chinese under the leadership of four generation leading group handed by Mao Zedong, Den Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jingtao.

It is the best place for the students to learn Chinese history and culture and a classroom for them to have national education, so they can experience our country's long history, splendid inheritance and glorious creativity. And it can inspire our national proud, encouraging us to develop according to the outlook of science-technology and studying hard in order to, with determination, to become mature, professional and successful, to serve the society and country.

In addition , it also provides a platform for international students and friends to have a good understanding of the Chinese culture and history, enabling them to observe China 's today and yesterday from all perspectives and encouraging them to learn Chinese civilization and lifting their enthusiasm to learn Chinese.

China Village's design is to display its teaching function, practicing function, sightseeing function and exhibition function in the aspects of the choices and designs of the objects and photographs. We do our best to present the basic overview and feature of Chinese culture as much as possible.

It has serves as a practice base on campus for the Chinese Language Department, providing a good opportunities for the teaching of TCFL(Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language) and CLL(Chinese Language and Literature)'s students and several activities, such as cultural lectures,, knowledge contest, club's performance and and cultural exchanges,etc. We hope that with the improvement of the construction, management and usage, it bonds to become a important window integrating culture show, professional teaching, extracurricular activities and international communication.

 

中国村简介

   

   中国村位于地球村一楼，室内呈八角星形状，面积约400平方米，是整个地球村最大的场馆，其建设理念体现了中国传统思想中的天圆地方的宇宙观，儒家思想及道教思想。其设计理念是通过直观的实物和图像展示，体现中华民族五千年文明的漫长发展历程，使人们能够近距离地感受中华民族悠久的历史和博大精深的文化。

   走进中国村，首先看到的是气势恢弘的兵马俑：四匹战马、一辆战车、一个士兵。走入中国村，还可以看到4个穿着战袍的战士俑，威严从容。教师可以结合这些实物讲解兵马俑的具体特点。

   地球村内有8个滚动展板，内容涉及中国历史、中国建筑、中国文字、中国乐器、中国茶、中国京剧、中国自然风光、中国人文景观等，学生（特别是留学生）可以通过8个展板的内容身临其境般地领略中国文化。

   中国村北面是一个孔子半身塑像，孔子塑像下有案几及蒲团。学生可以席地而坐，拼杀几盘象棋、军旗、围棋等。孔子半身塑像左侧是服装展示区，有唐代、汉代、明代男装及女装，在这里，人们可以体会到古代服饰之美。

　　中国村是学生学习中华民族历史文化的极佳场所，是进行民族传统教育的直观课堂，在这里，学生可以感受到我们祖国历史发展之深远，民族传承之灿烂，现代创造之辉煌，从而更加激发学生的民族自豪感，激励学生努力拼搏，刻苦学习，立志成人、成才、成功，服务社会，报效祖国。

　　中国村为外国学生与友人提供了一个良好的可以了解中国文化和历史文明的平台，使他们能够更直观更具体地从各个角度，全方位地对中国的历史和今天有一个较深刻的了解和较正确的认识，从而培养他们热爱中国的情感，激发他们接受中华文明的兴趣和学习汉语的热情。

　　中国村已作为国际交流学院、汉学院的校内实践基地使用，为对外汉语专业和汉语言文学专业相关课程的实践教学，以及各类的文化讲座、知识竞赛、专业社团活动和各种形式的中外师生文化交流活动的开展提供了实践平台。在这里，我们举办过长春市第一届对外汉语教师讲课大赛、普通话推广周宣传活动、留学生中国文化体验、道德讲堂等大型活动。
